In January 2010 I was in Cebu Philippines for the Sinulog festival. This is a famous festival of culture and history in memory of when Christianity was introduced to the Philippines by the Spanish.
The weather condition was very bright sun and occasional rain shower. This made it extremely difficult for getting the perfect. Even though the sun was behind me there was a lot of reflection from the stage as the sun’s rays were bouncing reflecting back causing the pictures to look over bright or washed out. So to work with the light and set the colour right I used a combination of a FLD Filter and a polarizer filter. I have found the FLD filter to be useful in situation where you are dealing with too much blue or an over bright sun.
